Giraffe Species
Giraffes are herbivores primarily feeding on leaves, twigs, and flowers. Their favorite food is acacia leaves, despite the tree’s sharp thorns. They have long tongues up to 18 inches and tough lips that help them grab leaves. Giraffes eat up to 75 pounds 34 kg of food per day. They rarely drink water because they get most of their moisture from leaves.
