Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary now known as Ratapani Tiger Reserve is located in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1976 becoming the state’s eighth tiger reserve

Ratapani Tiger Reserve providing habitat to a variety of species such as –

Ratapani Reserve is home to tiger population with nearly 90 individuals, leopards, wild dogs, hyenas, jackals, and foxes, spotted deer, sambar deer, nilgai blue bull, four-horned antelope, wild boar are commonly observed, sloth bears are also present within the sanctuary

Ratapani sanctuary is a haven for bird enthusiasts with over 150 species sightings include the oriental white-backed vulture, long-billed vulture, red-headed vulture, peafowl, Indian roller, jungle owlet, Indian pitta.

Reserve offers safari through two main entry gates Jhiri and Delawadi. The safari charges vary based on the gate and type of permit.

Full Vehicle Permit: ₹750 for the entry permit, ₹3,000 for the vehicle, and ₹480 for the guide fee.

Single Seat Permit for Adults: ₹125 for the entry permit, with vehicle and guide fees shared among passengers.

Single Seat Permit for Children: ₹65 for the entry permit, with vehicle and guide fees shared among passengers.
