Nagi Dam Bird Sanctuary Bihar
Nagi Dam Bird Sanctuary is located in Jhajha, Jamui district of Bihar, India is a heaven for bird enthusiasts,nature lovers, sunset watching. It is established in 1984 has been recognized as an important bird area by birdlife international due to its significant avian population
Avian Diversity
The sanctuary hosts over 133 species of birds, resident and migratory species, bar-headed geese, during winter from November to February sanctuary witnesses red-crested pochards, migratory birds, Pintails, Coots, Greylag geese, Openbill storks
Nagi Dam Bird Sanctuary is surrounded by dry deciduous forests and rocky hillocks. The wetland ecosystem supports a variety of dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, and other wildlife, contributing to its rich biodiversity.

Air it is the nearest airport is in Patna, about 200 km away. A new airport is also under development in Deoghar, Jharkhand, which will be closer to the sanctuary
